The ground was covered in grime , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets polluted the entire establishment . Smelling a mixture of ammonia , a rotting odor and a sickly smell. The serving zone , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The lavatory was in even worse condition — clogged , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .

Going through other patrons’ reviews and conversing with residents , it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a recurring complaint. Many visitors have reported observing cockroaches darting across the counter and signs of rats in the basement .
